adding a twinkle to an eye or diamond ring

I would like to add a little twinkle to an eye in FCP - any ideas using motion or FCP

G5 tower, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Creating the effect is easy. Attaching the effect to the shot is the challenge. You may need a crash course in motion tracking if the eye is moving.

Lens Flare, any of several particle emitters, or a custom shape can be tweaked to look like a glint.

Also FxFactory Pro has a "Star Shine” effect that looks like it would work (four points to the star) but you can't buy effects singly, so at $400.00 it would be a little steep.
